Kia has been one of the most sought-after car brands in recent years. This is because the brand has managed to bring new and innovative automobiles. Not only that, but the brand has also managed to create a loyal customer base with its impeccable after-sales services.
Since the brand has already established itself as one of the most sought-after automobile brands in existence, it is looking to expand its horizon and get into the EV side of things. Kia EV6 is the manifestation of that attempt.
Kia EV6 is the brand’s latest and most innovative attempt at breaking into a newer horizon. Therefore, let us celebrate this attempt and look at the vehicle from an objective standpoint to know more.

Kia launched EV back in 2022. As soon as the car was released, it became an instant hit. EV6 is a great car that comes with an equally excellent price tag. As per current sources, KIia EV6 starts at around Rs 60.95 lacs and can go upto Rs 65.95 lacs.
As of now, the company has released the car in two variants. These include the GT Line edition and the GT Line AWD edition. The price tag is a hefty one. However, the brand has managed to justify its pricing with some clever engineering and innovation.
Performance & Power
Kia EV6 runs on a single electric motor that is mounted on the rear axle. This makes the car a rear wheel drive. However, the AWD variant comes with a motor mounted on both axles. Therefore, the AWD is an all-wheel drive car.
Usually, all-wheel driving cars show performance figures of 320 to 576 horsepower. However, EV6 produces around 167 or 225 horsepower. In fact, in the 0 to 150 to 0 test, Kia EV6 managed to beat the legendary Toyota Supra and recorded a total of 31.2 seconds. Therefore, EV6 is underpowered to some extent.
However, while reviewing, I did not feel that the car was underpowered. The car maintained a uniform speed and managed to go from 0 to 60 in just 4.5 seconds. While this will not break the sound barrier, it will help you taste what EV6 has in store for you.
Charging & Battery
Battery becomes a huge deal when it comes to driving electric vehicles. Kia understands this exceptionally well. As a result, the brand has taken extraordinary measures to improve its battery. Kia EV6’s entry-level model features a 58.0 kWh battery pack. However, its higher models come with a 77.4 kWh battery unit.
As per the company’s claim, the car can run for around 310 miles or 498 kilometers on a single charge. Therefore, the Kia EV6 is a well-endowed car with a chunky battery pack that can go for a longer distance.
Kia has taken into consideration the current standards and has fitted the car with a fast-charging power unit. Therefore, you can charge the car up to 80% in just 20 minutes. This is an excellent feature as it gives the car a sense of flexibility in terms of charging.

I do not know about you, but I like my cars to have a good interior. Otherwise, I see no point of investing less money on something that does not feel good to drive or sit in. EV6 has managed to maintain that essence.
Some people might complain that Kia did not take risks while designing the interior of the EV6. However, those claims are biased. The interior looked terrific and futuristic. However, the best part of the whole center console is the digital HUD and the premium quality steering wheels.
EV6 has managed to mix up tech with comfort in a way that the design flows organically. This is a huge deal for people who want the best of both worlds. However, the brand could have given us more features for comfort, such as front seat footpegs, slidable hand rests, etc.
Exterior
Just as the interior is essential, so is the exterior. EV6 is a fine-looking car. The futuristic design with a streamlined body really enhances the overall look and feel of the vehicle. I cannot put the Kia EV6 into any specific category.
The design language features a little bit of everything at the same time. The car is too tall to be a hatchback but is too short to be an SUV. However, I am sure that it is not at all a sedan. Therefore, Kia EV6 is a hybrid of sorts when it comes to design language.
While some say that this is an all-terrain car, the reality is very different. That is not an all-terrain vehicle. The ground clearance is too low for it. However, the car has the ability to jazz things up, but not too vehemently. As a result, a wider audience loves the car.
Features
There is no point paying so much for a car if it does not come with swanky features. This car comes with some really swanky features. The most prominent feature that the brand offers with its cars is the expansive digital cluster.
The 12.3-inch center HUD is one of the most stand-out features of the car. This HUD is touchscreen. Therefore, you will be fine navigating through the different interfaces.

Kia EV6 is a feature-driven vehicle that comes with some unique tricks up its sleeves. However, test-driving a car and spending a considerable amount of time with a specific vehicle are two different things.
Therefore, I decided to talk to a person who has spent some long miles with the car in order to understand what EV6 is all about. The person I have spoken to listed the good and the bad aspects of the vehicle so that you can understand what the car is made of.

- Build Quality: The build quality of the car is top-notch. Kia has really gone the mile and has added some fantastic features to the mix. Every little detail has been specially crafted and curated.
- The Aesthetics: Kia EV6 is an aesthetically superior car. However, the user himself needs clarification about whether it is an SUV, sedan, or hatchback. As a result, the car gets a lot of attention. And he thinks that this is great.

- Music system: I am a fan of sound music systems in a car. In fact, it is one of my most basic necessities. However, for a car worth 70 lakhs, the Kia EV6 could have a better sound system.
